Will I Get The Following Month’s Payment After Cancellation?
No, you will not receive any payment after canceling your SRD application. Once you cancel the application, SASSA removes your details from the payment system. This means you will no longer qualify for any future payments.
Even if your cancellation happens in the middle of the month, you will not get the next month’s grant. The cancellation takes effect immediately. So, make sure you only cancel your application if you are sure you no longer need the financial support. If you change your mind later, you will need to reapply for the grant from the beginning.
Can I Reinstate My Cancelled SRD Grant Payment?
Yes, you can reinstate your cancelled SRD grant payment anytime if you are still eligible for the grant. SASSA allows people to reinstate their applications if they need financial support again. You must meet all the SRD eligibility criteria, such as being unemployed and not receiving other government support.
The process is simple and can be done online. If you need help with the steps, please follow our SRD Grant Reinstate article. It explains everything in detail and shows you how to reactivate your application easily. Make sure your ID number and phone number are the same as before.
