The child and parent both should have a South African ID and live in South Africa at the time they apply and get the payment from SASSA.

Age Limit:

There is no age limit for parents however the child should be below 18 years.

Other Terms and Conditions:

  • The child must reside with their legal parents or guardians.
  • The primary caregiver should not be receiving any financial assistance from institutions for the care of the child.
  • Additionally, the child must not be living in a state-run institution.

How to Fill and Submit an Affidavit for the SASSA Child Support Grant?

Visit Your Nearest SASSA Office
